Yes, I travel throughout the world to perform and share the beauty of sand art.
When booking flights, please arrange 1 check in bag and 1 carry on bag. This is to ensure that I can prepare all camera equipment and sandbox for travel appropriately and avoid oversize costs.
The preparation time for each piece can vary depending on the intricacy and length of the audio and the artistic story. Typically, a 10 minute performance can take at least a month to prepare.
While there are various kinds of sand art, performing sand art does not use glue, as it is meant to fluidly narrate a story that changes and morphs over time. Sand art can simply be preserved through photographs.
Yes, because all performances are catered towards individual events, I customize each piece to target the audience and deliver the goal of the event. Custom sand art photos on canvas are available upon request.
Yes! I love teaching and working with students. Please reach out to the artist to discuss further about your budget and your event.
In order to have a successful sand art experience, the venue will need to have a projector and projector screen, audio equipment to play the music, a room that is dark or dimmed enough to project the sand art, and staff available who are knowledgeable about the visual and audio set up of the venue.
I provide my own camera (Sony Alpha a6400), tripod, tripod arm, sand box and sand.
If the event is in Minnesota or Wisconsin, I will bring 1 staff to assist her with the set up. If the event is not in these states, I will travel alone.
Unfortunately, I do not do people or pet portraits.
I use my hands and fingers to create intricate details. Sometimes, I also use tools like pencils and folded papers to make patterns. Sand art is best done with beach sand or fine play sand.
Unfortunately, I do not vend at art and community events.
The more time the merrier, I would appreciate performances to be booked out 5 months beforehand. This is to ensure that I can artistically prepare an unforgettable performance for your event. If you have further questions about this, please reach out.
Each performance varies, however, the minimum length is 12 minutes and there is no max. For pricing, please reach out to me. Please keep in mind that the rate increases per 5 minute increments of the performance.
